Al Rogers has had a successful career in Europe for over 20 years. The ultimate showman, he has entertained audiences from the Dutch Royal family to international organizations in Hong Kong. His jazz piano and smoky voice (think Lou Rawls) have taken him from Amsterdam to Europe, northern Africa and Israel. Bandleader and emcee in well-known nightclubs, on television shows and radio and was the favorite musical attraction of Holland Casino Amsterdam. Al has performed with such greats as Harry (Sweets) Edison, Carnell Lyons, Toots Thielemans, Wilbur Little, Cees Slinger, Pia Beck, jazz drummer John Engels and bassist James Long.

Returning in recent years to the USA, he has performed with acclaimed singer, dancer and actress, Laura Roth. In collaboration with guitarist Tony Jenkins, he created the swinging show “Shades of Soul” exciting audiences along the eastern seaboard.  His most meaningful experience in New England has been teaching music to special needs children.  Children with Downs Syndrome, autism and other challenging conditions gave Al a richer experience than he could have imagined.  As he says, “They took all I could give them and left me wishing I had more to give. They gave me the most overwhelming feelings of love and appreciation.  They supported each other and reminded us all of how to live and work together to accomplish miracles. I am so blessed to have worked with these wonderful people.”

Recently, Al has moved to New Mexico to be with his family and has since joined renowned Doug Montgomery and Charles Tichenor as a regular featured performer on famous Vanessie of Santa Fe’s concert grand piano.  While all three performers give great shows with their individual talents, Al and Doug have been exciting the audience with four handed jamming on the  piano while accompanying each others vocals in-between their own solo shows
